Speaking during his India visit alongside External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Rubio said negotiations are progressing and could help ease tensions in the Strait of Hormuz after the recent US-Israel confrontation with Tehran. President Donald Trump earlier claimed the agreement had been “largely negotiated” as Washington pushes to prevent Iran from ever obtaining a nuclear weapon.
